Hi, my name is Jack, and welcome to my blog. A little about me, I come from a civil engineering background, and moved into a data space when I first started using Power BI back in 2018.

Power BI became my gateway drug into the world of data. I became obsessed with connecting to different excel sheets at first, then learning about more structured sources, how to optimise them, how to tell better stories with data, how someone should interpret it, and know what decisions should be made from the stories we tell and how to support others becoming more data literate.

In this blog I want to document some of my learnings (more just for me to refer back to when I need it), explore adjacent topics to data, decision making and how we can improve ourselves.
